The oldest building in town is the Uxbridge Friends Meeting House, which was constructed by Quakers. Nowadays, Uxbridge is more widely known as the actual-life stand-in for Schitt’s Creek’s fictional village.
If you’re interested in history, the Uxbridge Historical Centre is a must-see. The Centre opened in 1972 and seeks to preserve, collect, and commemorate anything connected to the history of the Uxbridge region. Agricultural equipment, machinery, musical instruments, and other relics are on display in ten historic structures at the collection.
